Discover Springfield: New Guide and Videos Highlight the Community. With support from the Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), the Springfield Advance-Press has created the 2026 visitor guide showcasing the attractions, businesses, events, recreation opportunities, and community spirit that make Springfield special.
The CVB has also been working with a videographer to create promotional videos that help tell Springfield’s story and share it with visitors and future residents.
Whether you’re new to town or have lived here your entire life, there’s always something new to discover in Springfield.

Live Nativity Pageant
The 40th Annual Live Nativity Pageant will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2026 & Sunday, December 13, 2026 starting at 6 pm. Bleacher seating available. Pageant is 40 minutes and was voted the “Best of Minnesota Live Nativity” by WCCO television viewers in 2017. Presented free of charge—a gift from the Springfield Area Nativity Theatre Association and the Springfield community.
