Riverside Days Events for Saturday, June 25th:

  • 5K Fun Run/Walk at the Community Center – 7 am registration and 8 am start time.  (sponsored by Springfield Mayo Clinic Health System and Springfield Wellness Team)  (see poster below for more information and registration form)
  • “Show ‘n Shine” Classic Car Show & Vendor/Craft Show at Schwanke’s Engines on East Hwy. 14 10 am – 3 pm.  Parade of cars following and parking at the former Dueber’s parking lot in downtown Springfield.
  • FREE kid’s Fishing Derby at Salonek’s Pond 10 am – 11 am.  Ages 15 and under (need to be accompanied by an adult).  Bring your own fishing pole.  Bait provided. Prizes awarded. (sponsored by Springfield Chamber Retail Board)
  • “Kids Party in the Park” at Riverside Park 11 am – 5 pm.
    • Inflatables (60 ft. waterslide, obstacle course, jungle adventure, dog bouncer, 5 in 1 castle, wrecking ball) & 14 Game Stands – fun for all ages
    • Dougy’s Balloon Twisting Artist and Making Faces Mankato Face Painting
    • Concessions stands with cheese curds, hand dipped corn dogs, cotton candy and more
    • Wristbands cost – $25/at the gate (unlimited use for both days for 7 inflatables and 14 game stands)
    • Wristband ONLY for the Mechanical Bull can be purchased only at the gate for $15 – no presales.  (unlimited use for both days)
  • Bean Bag Tournament at Riverside Park.  Registration at 11:30 am and tournament starts at noon.  (sponsored by the Springfield Fire Department)
  • Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream at Riverside Park 11 am – 4:30 pm (sponsored by St. Paul’s Luther League)
  • Chinese Cream Cheese Wontons at Jim’s Market parking lot 3 pm – 9 pm (sponsored by New Life Assembly Church)
  • Firemen’s Pork Chop Feed at the Springfield Fire Station serving 4:30 pm – 8 pm
  • Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream at the Springfield Fire Station 5 pm – 8 pm (sponsored by St. Paul’s Luther League)
  • Springfield Sings at the Le Bon Entertainment and Event Center at 7:30 pm.  Click HERE for more information.
    • Medallion winners to be announced during Springfield Sings
  • Firemen’s Dance at the Springfield Fire Station 9 pm – 1 am “Hicktown Mafia”
  • SAL Food Stand & Beer Garden by the Legion 4 pm – 11 pm
